A man’s strength is not measured only by what he can command, but by what he is humble enough to honor. Men of Valor are called to honor God, respect authority, care for their parents, protect their marriages, and model godly discipline before the next generation. Ephesians 6:2–3 connects parental honor to longevity, and 1 Peter 3:7 warns husbands that dishonoring their wives can hinder their prayers. Pastor Woodson’s statement, “Respect is earned, but honor is a gift,” challenges men to act from spiritual maturity rather than emotional convenience. A godly man does not excuse rebellion by saying he dislikes a leader, supervisor, or family member; he carries himself with integrity while maintaining wise boundaries. Men, reject pride, repair damaged relationships where possible, and lead your homes in a way that causes your children to recognize the goodness of God.
