Pastor Ronald Woodson | Sunday, October 25, 2026

Ministry requires more than a strong beginning. It calls for faithfulness through pressure, weariness, criticism, and spiritual opposition. In Standing Strong in Ministry, Pastor Ronald Woodson reminds us that lasting strength comes from the Lord, and that every place of service matters.

Stand in God’s strength

The message opens with the call in Ephesians 6:10–13 to be strong in the Lord and put on the whole armor of God. Standing strong means remaining faithful in the middle of the battle, depending on God rather than trying to carry every burden in our own strength.

Be faithful in your assignment

Ministry reaches beyond the pulpit. Whether we serve through teaching, worship, children’s ministry, sound, cleaning, or another responsibility, our work belongs to God. Pastor Woodson challenges us to prepare for the calling God has given us, rather than reaching for someone else’s position.

Endure, grow, and keep serving

Drawing on Paul’s charge to Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:1–5, the message calls us to hold to sound teaching, endure hardship, and fulfill our ministry. That also requires personal repentance, a willingness to receive correction, and compassion for others. Pray for weary leaders, encourage those who serve, and seek renewed strength in Christ.

Put the message into practice

  • Where is pressure tempting you to withdraw from your assignment?
  • What area of your own life needs repentance, preparation, or growth?
  • Who can you pray for and encourage this week?
